Re: A new publication for scale modelers, from Radek Gregovsky

It is actually more of a book than a magazine. Not cheap but not expensive either. Reminds me a bit of Hannan's books but this really has more stuff in it. Do like the Hannan's books, have most of them! Expect to like this, too.

By Gregovsky Radek, not the other way round as I first wrote....

A new publication for scale modelers, from Radek Gregovsky

Got a message today from Radek Gregovsky, first edition of "Peanut on the runway" is ready. Sent an order for three, one for me and two for friends (GOOD friends :D ).

Check it out!

Re: Event announcement: International Indoor Fly In 2016

Good videos indeed. Nice that you George got the DH on video, too. Must have been its best flight at this meeting, but will have to tweak it a little bit still ;-)
Happy new year everybody!

Re: Peanut floatplane, Albatros W4

Slow progress. Made the tail parts, will most probably use the fin made from depron as it looks better. Slightly heavier, in fact now double as the built-up weighs 0.03 grams and the depron one weighs 0.06 grams. Can live with that ;-)
I can try the Tengujo on the built-up fin, just for practise.

Re: Peanut floatplane, Albatros W4

Hi Pete, I used a local foam called Finnfoam. Around 32 kg per cubic meter, but mine was actually near 37 kg stuff. Slightly too heavy I think, but I can't get the light Dow Floor mate here at all. Will look around if I find something lighter. Can post to you of course! I knew that the Tengujo won't...

Re: Building from 3 View Plans

A good way is also to check what the Czechs have done, lately I've copied construction methods and airfoils from them! People like Alfery, Koutny etc. do know a thing or two of well flying scale models. Pistachio, Peanut and 1/20 scale being the most popular. Plans can be had for example from Mike W...

Peanut floatplane, Albatros W4

Started on a new project, which one I've had on my thoughts for a long time. Albatros W4, a floatplane from the First WW. Biplane of course, to add complexity :D Mixed construction, foam for fuselage and probably for floats, too. Built-up wings and tail parts. Want to have a solid looking fuselage, ...

I think the F1D in your photograph George was built and flown by Kevin Lamers, fuselage made from carbon fibre. Nice work anyway! Tommy

Re: "Ganagobie" Peanut scale

Hi Pete, for some reason or another I have built two Ganagobies ;-) Liked its looks, don't know why... First one with the bigger stab, second one with the scale size. Had lots of trouble in getting the second one flying, can't probably blame it directly on the stab size though. It all depends what y...
