It has been a few days since I have been here but today I see the display of the threads is different. The user avatars and info is to the right of the thread instead of the left. I have checked my settings and cannot find anything that will allow me to change the avatar etc to the left. With the av...

Re: Building from 3 View Plans
For airfoils I was advised by the late Walt Mooney to keep your airfoils under 12% thickness and put the high point of the airfoil at the 33% of the chord point. The actual curve, he said, was not that important as no stick and tissue wing can be built to very tight tolerances and at the low Reynol...

Lightweight structures and covering techneques
I have never built a small plane in the pistachio category and was wondering how others have completed the covering of such delicate models? Pre-shrunk paper / or shrink on the plane, what type of finish do you put on the paper to keep it light yet close the airflow thru the paper?
Thanks

I have a jet kit and some Rapier motors still wrapped in the original plastic that I would love to get goi...

Looks nice George. I don't think I have ever seen the treatment you have given for the tail feathers. Thin surfaces and warp free when painting. Nice work.

Building from 3 View Plans
Up to now, all of my builds have been from kits. Some built really stock and some slightly modified but nothing to drastic. I would like to build from 3 View drawings but I have no idea about how to decide concerning airfoils etc. How do you scratch builders do this?

Re: Activation email
When I registered yesterday, my activation email went into my spam folder. It took me a few minutes to remember to look there to find it.
