Re: Event announcement: International Indoor Fly In 2016

Andrea,
both of Alfery's peanuts were utterly fantastic to watch flying! The Seiran just did NOT want to come down! The level of detail he's able to get into those models is amazing with his choice of materials - and that goes to ALL of his models!

...and those pistachios of his...

Re: Event announcement: International Indoor Fly In 2016

Nice going, Pete. .. My tomorrow never came because of the server failure and now I am back in Greece, so no access to the files or time until Monday... Tim, do not worry, there will be a next year. You and Peter were missing, as well as Derek and Charlie, but for other reasons. That would have mad...

Re: Event announcement: International Indoor Fly In 2016

Primary Peanut/pistachio judges table. There were so many models entered in the two classes that two tables were needed (34 in Peanut and 15 in Pistachio! I'*m trying to tag the models with the builder/flyer's names which is taking a it more time, but there is more coming. Confuser seems to be worki...

Re: Event announcement: International Indoor Fly In 2016

I saw George making the rounds while I was trying to finish my peanut flights. Well done. I didn't get nearly as many photos/vids as I wanted, but it was either 'take photos' or 'fly' !

My computer seems to be working OK at the moment, so I'll try to get some of the files prepared.

Re: Event announcement: International Indoor Fly In 2016

An extremely well run event by the Nijmeegse Luchtvaartclub! A very exciting experience with no disappointments, and even my models played along much better than I had hoped! Meeting many of the names that appear in the various Forums was one of the biggest parts of the event, even though I was unab...

Re: Polikarpov PO-2

You beat me to it Monz! I haven't developed much of a fondness to any of the Deluxe products - other than the yellowish Alipathic. That rather small bottle is pretty expensive here @ EUR 6.95 and a buddy has tried the WB EZE Kote 1 resin (acryl. base, I suppose and VERY expensive!). He says it's GRE...

 Hey Joe!
I'm just sitting on the sidelines eating popcorn (and trying to search out old SFA files). David is doing all of the dirty work but thanks for the kudos :) !

Re: Ikara Butterflies

I haven't checked the links and I have heard from others that emails directly to IKARA have gone unanswered. The website is current, based on the webmaster dating on the bottom of the page, sooo... Their stuff is really nice, but if you order direct, you're probably taking a chance. http://www.ikara...

Great to see that you've acquired a new flying site - even if only for once a year! Is it a full-size airfield?

Re: Free Flight trimming

West Wings kits are VERY nice with generally good wood, but are a bit over-designed which adds weight. They are fairly accurate and VERY well executed (scale kits). I've got the Spitfire Mk 22/24 framed up plus 2x Sea Fury, Hawker 'Hart' and the Do 235. They are OK without having to modify - but alw...
