Re: Veron "Buster"
Looks like a pylon racer in waiting, Tim! As people can see, we eked out every minute of our allotted time in the hall, short of actually flying during the following badminton match.
Monz, I like your understated "Takes a bit of patience of make the stencil"! I might try it though.

Re: 'Boxy Lady' Bostonian
All done with six days to spare! Finished weight is 14.7g, so safely over the minimum limit so long as my scales are right. It balances just behind the spar, which might change a little bit with rubber, but hopefully it won't need much weight added. As for challenging Mr Tomlinson- I don't think so ...

Re: 'Boxy Lady' Bostonian
Thanks Tim- about 13g at the moment. Dope, windows and motor peg will add a bit, but hopefully not too much. Are you you planning on going to Clayton on Saturday, and do you have a Bostonian in good order for the comp?

Thanks, Roman.
Covered now- awaiting steaming and non-shrinking dope. Pre-shrunk tissue on the tail to try and avoid warps.

Re: Veron "Buster"
That's a very nice Buster, Tim. Could be good in the pylon race! I too would love a solution to the small yellow/white letters problem. I've sometimes tried to blend in the edges of the decal with the same paint as the background, or even to fill in the gaps between the letters with a fine brush, bu...

Re: Lockheed Altair
What a neat solution and I shouldn't think it's heavy at all. The whole model is looking very tidy and smooth. Can't wait to see some colour on it!

Super pictures, Roman. You really spoil us. I was going to ask about the Hurricane on HPA, so Tim has saved me the trouble. It really does look just right. Wonder whose design it is? Agree about George's little fat Bellanca too- always loved that model!

Re: 'Boxy Lady' Bostonian
Thanks Tim. My workroom isn't really quite as moody as that. I think the ipad camera must have censored out all the mess for me! Framework now done, so here's a mockup. I made another tailplane as the first one looked a bit too small. It's just under 12g as seen. I'm quite pleased at how perky it lo...

'Boxy Lady' Bostonian
I've been making a new Bostonian to my own design. Not much designing entailed really though- I've just kept it to Bostonian dimensions, with a extra little to spare in the fuselage box, used a lot of straight lines and rectangles and made no real effort to make it look nice or to keep the weight pa...
