Re: OD-17 O.F.F.C. One Design Model For 2017
At the O.F.F.C. meeting today there were three more Plain Planes for the contest. One was finished, beautifully, by Don Butman. Another, by John Buntin was nearly finished and the third, by Barry Dougherty, was in frame. At the flying session Stan Christopher and Bill Watson got theirs flying quite ...

Satellite - Beginner's Model
The OD-17, The Plain Plane, is turning out to be so successful that I've decided to join it with two more "beginner's models" in my line of kits. The next one is called the "Satellite". The first prototype is in flight testing. I want to get it, and the next one, a biplane called...

Some of the kits provided to the O.F.F.C. members who will participate in the One Design contest at the end of this month have been built. All the kits were provided with a sheet of blue tissue and a sheet of white tissue.

Re: Indoor Flying with the O.F.F.C.
The O.F.F.C. Embryo contest went off smoothly. From all I have been told, everyone had fun with this contest. The only detraction was the lights hanging down from the gym ceiling. The last time this contest was held the gym was lighted by flush mounted florescent lights. The models could skim the ce...

Re: Indoor Flying with the O.F.F.C.
Once again I did not attend the O.F.F.C. monthly contest. This time it was because I am recovering from my birthday present last Friday, a new right hip. I have been assured that I will be receiving photos and video to post along with the results. I will post as soon as I get them.

Re: Indoor Flying with the O.F.F.C.
I did not attend the contest so I'm copying Dave Gee's report of the contest from the Black Sheep Squadron newsletter. Fliers were Don Martin, Don Smith, John Buntin, Joe Whiting, Don Butman, Dave Gee, and Bill Watson. 11 entries made for a wide and varied field. The planes included 2 Fikes, 2 Piper...

I apologize for not reporting promptly on the Peanut Scale contest. I did not attend because of some personal business but will report as soon as I get the results.

Re: First Experience With Gampi Tissue
The experimentation goes further. I just purchased a new printer that uses (supposedly) waterproof ink. The object being able to print shrinkable skins. I'll post the results.

Re: Peanut Build Aborted
I will finish the Sonex but I will not be flying in the contest next week. I now have an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon. I do have some .005 inch material to make the canopy. I have no idea why .020 inch material is specified in the plans. I have also cut 1/20" inch sheet parts, will us...
