Re: Howard Littman Model Aircraft - hjlmodels.com
Well, I was at the Round Valley Dome Indoor Contest. I met some people that I only knew from the Internet, sold some kits, and did some flying. I still didn't get to see what the Giant NoCal Beaufighter can do. I took it to Round Valley but forgot the stooge! Dave Gee and I thought about finding a t...

Black Sheep Squadron King Fling
The King Fling is an annual contest that the Black Sheep Squadron holds on the morning of Martin Luther King Day. Since it is held outdoors it was decided to hold it this year at the Stonehurst Recreation Center with masks and proper social distancing. It is a one design contest with everyone flying...

Re: Howard Littman Model Aircraft - hjlmodels.com
As you saw in another post, I had to restrict my Howard Littman Model Aircraft operations due to a family medical emergency at the end of October. This situation has been resolved, thankfully, and I am getting back into full production and the development of some new kits. One of the things that I h...

Re: Howard Littman Model Aircraft Dewoitine D.520
I must apologize to all my followers and customers. Due to an unexpected family medical emergency the work on bringing my 1:16 scale models into kit will be delayed until the new year. They will be in kit next year.

Re: West Wings 24" Spitfire Mk.22
The trick with a Spitfire, or any rubber powered model with pointed wing tips, is getting the transition from powered flight to glide right. It's easy to trim it to glide and easy to trim it for powered flight, however, the transition can result in a tip stall with a resulting spin. This one, with s...

Re: Howard Littman Model Aircraft Dewoitine D.520
The Dewoitine D.520 is still in process despite some unanticipated delays. I got the second prototype ready for some finishing and sprayed a coat of white floral spray on it as a primer. Paint_Day_1.jpg Paint_Day_3.jpg Primer is meant to show all flaws before final finishing and did it ever! The dic...

Re: Indoor Flying with the O.F.F.C.
I got up at 6:30 this morning intending to go to the OFFC meeting and flying session (outdoors and with masks) but my wife had some gardening to do and she needed assistance. I didn't get to Stonehurst until 10 which was a bit iffy since the high temperature was predicted to be 107 (F of course). Wh...
