I saw George making the rounds while I was trying to finish my peanut flights. Well done. I didn't get nearly as many photos/vids as I wanted, but it was either 'take photos' or 'fly' !

My computer seems to be working OK at the moment, so I'll try to get some of the files prepared.

Primary Peanut/pistachio judges table. There were so many models entered in the two classes that two tables were needed (34 in Peanut and 15 in Pistachio!

I'*m trying to tag the models with the builder/flyer's names which is taking a it more time, but there is more coming.

Confuser seems to be working OK (knock on RAM) so I'll be working on the video clips this weekend.

Nice going, Pete. ..

My tomorrow never came because of the server failure and now I am back in Greece, so no access to the files or time until Monday...

Tim, do not worry, there will be a next year. You and Peter were missing, as well as Derek and Charlie, but for other reasons. That would have made a very complete UK team. Add to this Bill and Monique and you have a full house. And a very crowded hall...

Very crowded, indeed, especially if Monz can be convinced to bring the Shack for display  !

I went thru my video clips last nite... Something like 60 clips that I have to load onto the confuser! Nearly all of them need editing due to the rather long waits for the green light and some minor issues with the autofocus on my camcorder, so a bit more patience is asked. I'm not decided where to upload the clips to. I have YouTube, Vimeo and PhotoBucket accounts, and I'm not that fond of the YT compression...

I'm happy to see that Small Flying Arts is on the net again, something a would never have expected! And so nice to see all the photos from the IIFI contest streaming in. I'll make my own contribution too, and will start with the peanuts. First off is Alfery's foam Mustang. With flights over 1 1/2 minutes, it's no surprise this model placed first in the flight scores, and 2:nd overall.

The peanut winner was the Aichi Seiran, also by Antonin Alfery.

This Dornier Merkur was built by Mats Johansson. It's the first peanut he has built, but he has a lot of previous experience in lightweight RC-models. The method of construction is quite interesting, it is built from Depron sheet, covered with printed silver tissue. In spite of a rather high weight (about 15 grams), it managed a flight of 37 seconds once the small propeller in the photos had been exchanged for a larger peck plastic propeller.
