Tim, I like Wacos... yours look very nice and the covering looks like a great job from you.
Pistacio would be just to small for me...

The Pistachio WACO SRE is finished. I am quite pleased with it as although it is heavy for a pistachio, it is not bad fro me! Total is 4.23g and it balances where Walt marks the CG for the peanut without any extra noseweight needed which is always nice. In my defense it is intended for UK comps which err on the side of static marking so all the detail and the fully painted finish are for those reasons. Just need some trimming time now.

Here are some pics.

Lovely job, Tim! Don't know how you work so neatly or at that size. Looking forward to seeing it.

I have often stated that I consider pistachio model builders a very talented group. Beautiful result at such a tiny size. Hope to see it flying too. Good luck with it at the Nats.

I see I didn't post images for my 13" Peanut Eindecker build (which stalled due to family matters). Here are some. :)

I've stripped the foil off the cowl and sides since these photos were taken to replace it with a more chrome like effect.

Re the cowl foil. It would have looked better if you had filled and sealed the grain fully. Nice job otherwise though

I did mention in my post that the foil is off and a more effective result is planned. ;)
We obviously had the same thought about the finish.
