Went indoor flying...

Postby Tim H » Sat Mar 18, 2017 8:19 pm

I had the opportunity to test fly my new Legal Eagle model "Chad" on Thursday evening at our club meeting at Buxton Community Church. It is quite small so I can't fly peanut models there but there is plenty of room for lighter things.

I am pleased to say that it trimmed really easily. No noseweight was needed and a bit of packing under the rear of the stab was enough. I just used a really old motor from my old Legal eagle (18" loop of 0.093 thou). David timed one flight at 1m13sec which I am very happy with. I will see what I can do with it in a higher ceiling next time I go to Clayton Green.

Here is a video of one flight and another of Pete Newsom flying his A6 Foamie model.

The Chad looks great in flight, Tim. Clever to get it to land on the runway mat like that!
