Chris Strachan's Sorrel Goupy, one of the steady entries in CO2/Electric, a lone CO2 fighter against electrics
Part of Peter Smart's fleet
One of the amazing new models of the event, this Boeing YB-9 by Richard Crossley. Twin electric, it got trimmed during the competition and scored the highest scoring flight of the event. A not so high static score gave it 5th position overall. Once trimmed it was a great slow sight in the air.

Re: Event announcement: International Indoor Fly In 2016
all was well at the beginning, but not for long...
The confrontation ended with no victims. The winner, as the famous gangster once said, "You can get much farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone"
Not only the models, but the pilots were works of art and extrememly light too,
My photos really do not do them justice... There were other people there with some proffesionally looking equipment, but not me.

The hall becoming empty, as everybody has packed models and gear.
People immediately got to work to setup the badminton courts for the next day...
Looking forward to next year...

I think the F1D in your photograph George was built and flown by Kevin Lamers, fuselage made from carbon fibre. Nice work anyway! Tommy

Thanks very much George. It's not the same as being there but if not then your photos have given a great feel for the event and the models. Pete and I are definitely planning a trip to the IIFI next year if we can manage it (and as long as the club have it, of course).

Re: Event announcement: International Indoor Fly In 2016
We will organize another IIFI next year. The date still has to be set. This is depending on the date of the outdoor Eurofly meeting in Switserland. It will be in November 2017 that's what we know for now. Soon as the date is set I will send an invitation around february/march 2017 but registration will be open right after the announcement of the date.
I will keep you informed as soon as I know more...
Regards,
Bernard
